For 70 years, the Schlegel Family has been committed to building community, and a major aspect of that commitment centres around caring for our oldest neighbours.
As we mark Indigenous Peoples Day, we recognize and honour the great reverence the original inhabitants of our lands placed upon the wisdom of the Elders in their communities. It is a reverence that, sadly, has in many ways been lost in modern society, and one we seek to restore in every action we take. As the keepers of the lands we are blessed to live and work upon and the source of great wisdom, tradition and guidance, we hope to continue to learn from our First Nations, Inuit and Métis friends, brothers and sisters.
